Fashion Influencer Leo Chan chooses definable lines that create a distinctive energy flow. The arrangements of the lines can be subtle or boldly pronounced to create a statement of a visual shout or a whisper. Leo’s ability to identify pieces that accommodate and support one another through lines is a testament of his stylish characteristics.

Leo Chan is the Founder and Creative Director of his website Levitate Style in which he operates with Co-Founder, Photographer, Operations plus Design and Girlfriend Alicia Mara. Levitate Style was launched in September of 2014 with a focus on men’s lifestyle content exploring Style, Fashion, Grooming, and Travel. Leo has been featured in several popular publications such as GQ and Vogue, wearing various fashionable brands. Leo’s has a strong social media presence with over 116k followers on Instagram and 6.82k subscribers on youtube .
The following post explores three techniques of Line that Leo frequents within his style and wardrobe. Leo respects each item he selects from different brands and considers its effect upon the overall look that he desires to project onto his audience. He values versatility within his wardrobe that can be applied to the office, casual or street wear looks. Leo finds brands that are exciting and inject bold youthful sophistication within the complexities of his style choices.

THE INTRICATE LINE
- STYLE DESCRIPTION
The intricacy of the white plaid patterned sports blazer, is a boldly pronounced plaid pattern on top of a neutral tone of grey.
The Plaid Pattern is a network of thick and thin lines that intersect and overlap one another in a layered effect. Each line has a color tone that can be brighter or darker than the other, bringing one to the forefront and the other to the background.
The turtleneck is the foundation in which this looks rests upon and perfectly supports the other items. The white jeans enhances the lines within the blazer’s plaid design arrangement, creating a strong connecting flow of energy. The injection of a rugged element is introduced into the look by the shreded jean cuffs resting on top of the elegant simplicity of the Chelsea boot.
- COLOR PALETTE
The lighter tones of gray and white make the statement within the outfit, while the darker tones support it. The dominant lighter tones, function in the forefront as highlights being emphasized by the plaid pattern within the blazer. The background is where the darker tones reside to serve as a foundation for the overall look.
The white jeans not only serve to enhance the blazers patterns, but simultaneously creating an intimate contrast in the color relationship of the four items.

THE DYNAMIC LINES
- STYLE DESCRIPTION
Leo is wearing a tailored double breasted suit with a peak lapel that seamlessly supports the statement piece of the gray scarf. Leo continues to reinforce the statement lines with a versatile Chelsea boot that share the same color. dynamic presented within the scarf.
- COLOR PALETTE
Leo injects energy to the brown double breasted suit by adding a bold color of red within the outfit. He accessorizes with a patterned grey scarf that has three pronounced diagonal lines of red and black. The brown serves as a foundation for the lighter tone of grey that is a highlight to the overall look.
At the bottom, the Chelsea boot supports the energy that the scarf started by possessing a bold red line of its own running down the side of the elastic side panel of the boot.

THE BOLD LINES
- STYLE DESCRIPTION
The two bold diagonal lines are a deliberate dynamic statement that Leo uses to draw the eye from head to toe. The presence of the oxford style shoes elevates the style that borders the realm of the smart casual and streetwear. The blue jeans are a traditional choice that do not distract but support the journey of the bold lines .
- COLOR NARRATIVE
Black’s strongest quality in fashion, is its ability to be impactful within the foreground and background simultaneously. Black has always been the perfect contrast to White, propelling the two dynamic lines into its strongest statement.
The White diagonal stripes generate a distinctive expression of simplicity that can be seen in a playful, youthful dynamic light.
Blue was an attentive choice that Leo selected as a purposeful break from the black that steers the look away from appearing as a uniform, (if the jeans were black.)
The injection of the Red dynamic line (combined with the white) adds a dash of flirtatious energy to look.
The Black returns to complete the look, by reinforcing its position that was started at the beginning of the look.

The bold orange line sets an adventurous tone by dominating its space and complimenting the outfits colors schemes simultaneously. The variations of colors within each outfit displays Leo’s ability to take one item and use it in several outfits as a means of pulling it all together.
Leo Skillfully lives within the lines that are intricate, dynamic, subtle and bold. Leo continues to explore brands that possess various lined styles that are supportive of his overall visual statements. Learning to manage the small details of your outfit can make a greater impact on your overall look, is the biggest take-away of Leo’s stylish approach.
